A couple of months ago I had a baritone of friend for a couple of weeks just to try and see if it was anything for me. I really liked the Bari and kept an eye out for a good deal.
I have a soft spot for Brüko ukes and I really like the understated look and feel of their bari. It reminds of Danish furniture for the fifties (that I love). A friend of mine told me he knew a store in Amsterdam that had one hanging on their wall unloved. I was able to get for just over €100,- which is pretty much a steal. Based on the dreadful state of the strings and the amount of dust on the headstock, it was hanging there for quite some time.
I love it! Feels great, plays okay (I plan to take down the action a little), and sounds good already. Can't wait to put on a set of Living Waters.

You definitely got a bargain there. Even new directly from Brüko, they are a bargain and you have to pay a lot more for the same quality with most other brands. Yours looks a beauty. Like you, I like their understated looks so the quality of the woods can really come through.

I got a Brüko concert, one of their special edition ones and at over twice what you paid, I still feel I got a bargain. Would love to hear a sound sample of yours.

Congrats nice score....I know it will bring you many years of enjoyment...happy strummings....

wow! That's a BARGAIN! Bruko's are amazing value! I'd have to say I personally don't think you can get a better uke for the money. My custom concert Bruko is easily better than a number of other big name ukes that are twice the value. Well done!

€100! Definitely a steal!!

I also took the action down as low as I dared. Ended up right around 3mm but given the height of the bridge, that was as low as I could go and have any saddle left.

You're going to love Living Waters on it. You can even order the tenor set and tune them a little higher if you want to - mine is tuned linear A instead of G.

Congrats!

Great buy Michael! Congratulations on this lovely uke brother, it is very elegant, can't wait to hear you play it.

Congrats!

There is definitely something about Brukos; mine gets the most playing time, even though I own "nicer" ukes.
