Uke players rent their apartment to travelers in NYC

I use to live up the upper west side in the late 70's and although it's not as presigious as the east side, it is a wonderful place to live... back then 400.00 up was a month just for parking
you car in a garage in the upper west side garage...hardly no street parking there....even then the rent was expensive, I can imagine in now..I was payng like over 800 a month....35 years ago

I had a friend subletting in the theater district while he was in 42nd Street and I was amazed at the teeny tiny size of his "apartment". There was a futon, a closet insert kitchenette thing, and a little tiny room with a toilet, shower and airplane sink. I was simply amazed at the lack of space and the price he was paying.

Yes, those folks would be fun to stay with. What kind of ukulele was she playing?

Interesting video, although I'd be afraid of someone walking out with my prized ukes... that was definitely a Lanikai.

funny, I drive a Red Mini Cooper like the one at the beginning of the video :D
