Hi Everyone!
I drank way too much coffee today and decided after finishing a portrait commission to then deco my new little travel uke!
Here it is- Octouke!
Just tuned it back up and started strumming!!!
I'll be glad to take any custom orders!!!

Do you have to prep the top at all or can you paint right over the (matte, I presume) finish?

Thanks so much everyone!!!! I'm having a lot of fun with this! The little Ohana was my first time painting a uke....I've painted leather handbags as well. I'm primarily a fine artist- I sculpt in wood and stone composite and also paint in oils.I purchased the uke thru Mim and as always, she did a brilliant job on the set up...I then sanded it lightly with 320 grit , then wiped it clean and painted the art in an acrylic based auto paint. Finished with a very light coat of satin finish polyurethane. I'm going to put it thru it's paces and see how it does! I'll be glad to deco anyone else's uke and all UU members will get a great deal!
