I see so many posts here from new ukulele players wondering what is the correct positioning for the hand and fingers on the fret board, so I decided to post this photo that I hope will help. Notice too how short my fingernails are on my fretting hand allowing just the tips of my fingers to press on the strings and the palm of my fretting hand faces me directly allowing easy reach for other chords. Hope this helps.
