US taxes to import an uke from Brazil

Hi guys,
How much taxes you pay in the U.S. to receive a ukulele imported? New Jersey has specific rates?
I'm in Brazil and I will send a ukulele for a friend in the U.S. in NJ.

I have not imported from Brazil but in most imports there is an import of the value exceeds $500 or $600
I bet FedEx can answer this for you!
They have a dept for this.
