Cracker - a ukulele with four or more cracks but excellent sustain, tone and projection that you buy to fix up or just play. Usage - Ah, I see that old Martin's a cracker -- good score.
 
I guess I have a cracker...they've been repaired already.

Here I am playing one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqskFn0zQhA and now I own another - a pre-1921 1K . The repair guy I bought it from had a theory that the old cracked Martins frequently had better tone because they also had thinner wood that was more prone to cracking. It's a term of fondness not scorn.
 
Yeah, I live in Florida, need to be careful how you use that word :uhoh:
 
First, it's a positive term, second, after living in Georgia for 30 years I've still retained my sense of humor.
