Kamaka and KoAloha finish

I was wondering if someone can tell me if the Kamaka ukes have the same type of finish as the KoAloha ukes. By that I mean, the KoAloha seems to have a "open pore" type , for lack of a better description, verses a smooth glass type of finish. I don't have access to either of these brands, and the pictures make it hard to tell.

Both are open pore, at least the ones I've seen.

It depends...it seems like the finish on long necks can have more glass like coverage but i am guessing it varies between ukes...but from the hf2L s i have seen there finish is > the standard models.
