A few months ago i purchased a Gill ukulele from Doc_j who was amazing to deal with by the way , and i would call myself a low intermediate level player but i have had some very nice ukulele's in my hands so i know what Good sounds like , This particular one is a tenor pineapple and every time i pick it up it just makes me smile
it has the sweetest voice i have ever heard so all that being said
does anyone else have a D S GILL ukulele ? Are they all amazing or did i get one of his better creations?

I have a gill concert pineapple spruce!/mahogany that sounds great and set up quite well.

Glad to hear you still enjoying the mahogany DS Gill. :)

Tim at Ukeeku.com wrote a good article about David S. Gill and his wonderful ukes. They are an amazing value!

His nephew Gary Gill is also making ukes now too. (He got a lot of good advice and experience from his uncle.). Gary's got a pear shape tenor up for sale on FMM right now.

I agree, davo17, that DocJ is the bomb. Every time I see him selling something--anything!--I'm all over that ad. Would buy again from him in a nanosecond.

Realizing I am partial, but DS Gill ukes do sound good.

Thanks Doc for noticing my uke for sale on FMM
