Excellent condition. I bought this as “blemished” about a year ago from Ko’olau. After some scrutiny, I found the blem: an irregularity in the fretboard binding on the bass side, below the first fret, that’s too subtle to photograph. I don’t notice it, and I’m a perfectionist. There are a couple of tiny finish chips at the lower edge of the top. Otherwise the instrument is pristine. It sounds great, plays great, and looks lovely. The case is a very fine O’ahu, also in great shape, that fits it perfectly. I strung this as a low-G tenor for playing jazz. It worked great that way, but I’ve since switched to a plain old low-G tenor. I've restrung this instrument with standard baritone strings for its next happy owner. Price: $285 plus shipping.

Oh man!

I'll vouch for these Pono blems -- they're awesome. I have the same one. Excellent tone and really playable.

Good luck with the sale.

(Future owner: consider Southcoast's re-entrant G set.)

Thanks for the plug, Connor. I share your high opinion of South Coast strings. I was using their low-G set on this instrument, and it sounded great. I never tried the re-entrant set, but if no one buys this uke I might.

I can also vouch for the excellence of the Pono MB blemish baritones. I've got one and it is awesome with the Southcoast re-entrant G set. Maybe I should get another one so I can string it linear... (or cuatro?)
