survivor girl ukulele band -- benefit concert sept 15 -- sierra madre ca

hey wonderful ukulele undergrounders,

this is super short notice, but i wanted to get onto this forum and tell you all about my ukulele project in india and invite you all to "join the band."

my project is called survivor girl ukulele band, and i go to india and work with survivors of human trafficking, teaching them how to play ukulele!!

kala brand music gave me some beautiful makala dolphin ukuleles for the project, and the success of the project was amazing. i have a blog:

i am in the usa for a brief time, gearing up to return to india where i work with young women who have been forced into prostitution and have been rescued from brothels.

so that i can continue the survivor girl ukulele band project, this weekend, sept 15, some friends are putting on a benefit concert in sierra madre, california. the above link has all the details.

would love to see some los angeles area ukers at the concert! you all know how playing the ukulele can change your life, and this is your opportunity to share the music and love with survivors of human trafficking in india!
