View Full Version : Just ordered an Ohana 5 string Uke Tk35G-5 from Mim!

After checking out Taimane's videos and doing some more research, I ended up ordering the Ohana 5 string TK35G-5 from Mim!

It's reasonably priced and all mahogany...

I should get it in a day or two knowing how quick Mim is. I've asked her to switch to Worth Browns and a Kala Red Unwound Low G.

Will be sure to post my impressions of it when I get it...

I think you will like the Ohana 5 string. I am very impressed with mine. Wonderful tone for the price. When you need new strings in the future, Ken Middleton's Living Water Strings has a custom set that for the 5 string (high/ low G).

Thanks, it's a tenor size, with a wound g.

Getting it changed to clear Worth strings and a red kala Unwound low G.

Will try to post a sound sample once I get it and get used to it :D

I have Worth clears on my tenor (low G) and love them. Congrats! Looking forward to your review.

Have to say I've been really tempted by one of these myself, but the cost to get one shipped to the UK has been prohibitive ......
