I'm selling this beautiful instrument to save up towards a guitar (gasp!).

This is the instrument that will take you closest to a guitar sound while maintaining the playability of a ukulele. It's basically a jumbo baritone uke with steel strings!

Bought it in 2011, I have kept it in pristine condition.
It originally came with tuning in fifths, which is the traditional for tenor guitars. I took it to the local luthier to have it set up as DGBE with slick playing action.

Sounds great acoustic and plugged in (Artec active pre-amp with 9V battery).
Solid Spruce top.

I find that it plays best with Medium gauge D'addario strings (using the DGBE strings only).

I will also include the original hardcase (very protective!) and a spare set of D'addario Medium gauge guitar strings.

Price: $350 USD including shipping internationally.
Paypal. Shipping out from Australia - if you're local, please PM me as I could probably do it cheaper.

Originally bought for £300 GBP (not including shipping), which is about $480 USD.

As ukesters crave a bigger, deeper sound and want to reach beyond baritones, I think tenor guitars will have a resurgence. They originated when tenor banjo players migrated to guitars. We may see the same with our jumping flea brethren.

Thanks for your interest everyone! This instrument has been sold!
