Pickup advice, solid body travel uke

I have only seen the solid body ukes being built with a under saddle rod piezo pickup. Can you use the kind of piezo pickup often placed inside an acoustic guitar (the disk pickup types)? If so, any issues as to where or how you locate the pickup?

Thanks for any advice, i live in the Philippines and haven't been able to find a rod piezo pickup but they do have the disk ones available.

There are a whole bunch of these type piezo pups on ebay. Many from china. Cheap too

Sadly due to such endemic fraud, Philippines is one of the countries that most ebay sellers will not ship to.
