I just finished this tenor for a UU member. The owner, who is in Europe, liked the idea of using woods that are local to me. The body is myrtle and the neck is Port Orford cedar with a walnut stringer. The fretboard, which is English walnut with a particularly nice grain pattern, was soaked in penetrating epoxy after the fret slots were cut. The bridge is of the same piece of walnut. The nut and saddle are unbleached bone. The finish is Tru-Oil. The tuners are Gotoh UPT, which I'm growing very fond of. They are reasonably light, operate smoothly and have just the right ratio for a uke. Tuning is low G and it has a full and deep sound.
