Yes, I have a Cole Clark ukulele made from Tasmanian Blackwood and it looks great. I have a Scott Wise Blackwood ukulele on the way.

Looks and sounds cannot be beat, one of the best tone woods........trust me I have one of beaus ukes..
 
I have a stunning piece of Tasmanian Blackwood - it was 1/2 of a guitar set that Gilmer Hardwoods had - they lost the bookmatched piece. I plan to build a vintage-style soprano with it, one piece top and back. Gilmer threw in a nice (but not quite as nice) piece to use for the sides as well...should be nice! Bought the whole thing for $10 because of the missing half..
