13 frets to the body?

I am working on a second uke, a concert size, using the Grellier soprano plan blown up to Martin concert width/length. A 12 fret to the body neck puts the bridge a long way towards the tail and a 14 fret neck brings it closer to the soundhole than I would like. Is a 13 fret to the body neck frowned upon in the ukulele world?

13 fret to body is used as a compromise by numerous makers. If it works for your ukulele build then use it.

yes 13 to fret body is common. All Koaloha concert is 13 fret body.

I use 13 fret to body on all my sopranos, concerts and some tenors. Piccolos get 12 only.

Man, was I happy to see this thread. I did a "13 fret to the body" quite by accident and was wondering if it would work. I see it does--if, I suppose your scale length --13 and 3/4-- is correct.
