I sold a Kala pineapple to my sister who just went to Costa Rica. Just getting it out of the U.S. was a problem, but then a 6.2 earthquake hit. Anyway, after all of that, she says her uke survived, and she's returned to practicing. You can read more about on Sailor Jim's Blog on www.ukerepublic.com. Kala takes a lickin' and "uke" keep pickin'! Yeah, that is cheesy . . . but it goes so well with my wine.

Thanks Deach, She is doing well. She called yesterday and said they had a 4.2 down there, wow!Costa Rica, good surfing, tropical and has volcanos. Hey that sounds like.... She is moving south away from all the active earthquake stuff. Of course she told me the pineapple is still unscathed.
