I have been wanting a Rick Turner Compass Rose Mini-jumbo uke.

For the past week and a half I have been looking at a simply lovely amazon rosewood and red spruce CR mini-jumbo at Gryphon.

But the rope style purfling was just not my personal cup of tea.

Then today I saw a new listing; even before the photos posted I was on the phone. As the salesman played the two ukuleles over the phone for me the photos appeared on the Gryphon web site.

It was LOVE at first sight, (and listen).

Cocobolo, Red Spruce, sunburst, ivory binding.

that thing is very nearly Erotic! Would love to hear it.

Nicest looking CR I've ever seen. Congratulations mate.

Very nice looking Mini Jumbo GASguy. I just call them the oxymorons.:)

Cocobolo, Red Spruce, sunburst, ivory binding..... are a great combination!

Very nice. Bet it sounds as good as it looks!

When you're ready, post up sound samples please =D

Notice how many "wow's" were uttered as the first word. Same with me, first word out was, Wow. If I ever buy another tenor, it'll be sunburst for sure. Wow.

I am having some kind of fun shooting these sunbursts!

It's a whole other thing doing them in miniature like this. I have to be quick and right on the mark. Just the right amount of coffee in the morning!

Yeah, I'm the guy who does the finish on the CR ukes...
