Hi everyone,

A friend of mine picked up a no-name vintage baritone uke on a whim from a local store a while ago, but doesn't know anything about it (except that he thinks he overpaid for it). All I could tell him was that it wasn't very playable due to super-high action (which on closer inspection is due to the neck separating at the heel). But I know nothing about the maker or its value - he'd like to sell it if a reasonable price wouldn't result in a big loss.

So I'm hoping you all can help with an id. I may take it to a luthier in a few days to see what the repair would involve, but if anyone wants to chime in with a guess as to how big/$$$ a job it'll be to get the neck back in place, that would be helpful as well.

It looks like solid mahogany, and has a 19" scale length. I'm happy to provide more details if that helps. I'll put a few photos here, but all of them can be found here.

Thanks!
