This is a little off topic as it's not about the uke. My wife and I attended a performance by singer/song writer Michael Johnson last evening in Old Saybrook Ct. He had a few soft rock hits in the late 70', Bluer Than Blue was his biggest.
The man is a really fine guitarist, he's largely classically trained. He studied at a conservatory in Barcelona at one point in his younger days.
He was out in the lobby talking to concert goers and signing cd's. I decided to pick his brain a little about finger picking. He was very generous with his advice and is an extremely nice man. His performance was excellent and he's also a very funny guy.
I mentioned seeing Jake Shimabukuro and he just smiled. He had the oppurtunity to play a show with Jake a while back and had only nice things to say.
If you have a chance to hear him perform you will really enjoy this first rate musician.
