Kamaka dot inlay material?

Folks,

I have a Kanilea K-1 with beautiful abalone dot inlays, and just ordered the Kamaka HF1 soprano. There is no mention anywhere what the dot material is. Googled it with no success. Does anyone know?

Call Kamaka, they are very helpful.

Kamaka is very helpful if you call them. I dealt mostly with a lady named Yukari Nichols when I ordered my tenor. Very friendly and a nice person.

I have an HF-4 and the dots are mother of pearl like the headstock logo.

Thanks Folks. I found out today, and it some type of plastic. A little disappointing, but not a deal breaker.

The dots on the new deluxe models are Mother of pearl, but their standard models that I have are white plastic.

Ditto, the ones on my HF-3 are white plastic in apperance.
