I made the decision to not pursue earlier vintages or styles after seeing Mike Halloran's comments about his '60s style "0." I found this Martin on Craigslist (Coos Bay, OR) the other day. The owner inherited it from his uncle in 2002. It belonged to his uncle's girlfriend and was thought to have been purchased in 1958. But the "Made in USA" stamp inside tells me in the '60s. The Martin is unblemished and I would bet the strings are the original ones.

Can anyone identify the case it came in?

The owner threw in a Super SN4 Pitch Pipe to boot.

I can upload more images if needed.

What a fantastic looking Uke! (Nice case as well.)

Strange as it may seem, more than once I've thought of selling my crack-free, excellent condition Style 1 to finance a Style 0. There seems to be a rash of pristine examples on the market lately. Glad you got one!

Congrats! The old Martins really are in a league of their own.
