thanks to all the great builders on this forums and your knowledge I was able to make 3 ukuleles for my Family. will be Christmas gifts for my brother, mother and girlfriend.

it was scary to not know what it would sound like. will the intonation be spot on etc etc. but measure correctly, always double ,triple check measurement is accurate. but after my second build got easier and I gained more and more confidence.

Funny about the sanding.

Way back when I worked at a boat yard, and one of my off-season jobs was working as a kind of apprentice behind an old timer who did all the brightwork. Whenever a customer would stop by to compliment/question him about his work, he would say "Sanding, and then more sanding, and then more F----ing sanding," and then he would walk away.

I always got a kick out of that. And yeah, we did a lot of sanding.
 
yup sanding and more sanding.

I was thinking if it was okay to sand all the back sides and front too a smooth 600 grit even before starting the build?
