I may very well employ this technique. It sounds easy enough.

My first thought when I heard the way it sounded was of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars".

I like this technique. I'm going to use it in the future on my original songs in the verses.

Cool, simple technique. Should be good when playing many different things.

Another thing you can do to add to it is use your high g string in place of every other C pluck.

So you get an effect like this. (We'll call playing the g string G.)

A - B - G - B - A - B - G - B

It adds a cool 'shadow' note to the chord line.
