Well, the world did not end yet in Berkshire, but there aren't many apples left on the tree this morning!

Just off to buy a chainsaw, as I have several large branches (15ft or so) down. But these are weeping willow, so I think only fit for burning (and not much use at that, either).

Any excuse to buy a chainsaw is a good one.

I met a guy earlier this year who collects chain-saws. Vintage. I thought he was mad at first, then I looked at all the self-made ukes and banjolele's standing in corners round my house and I realised he was probably the saner of us.

You could team up and rid your place of ukes.

So much for the "Sturdy English Oak".

Husquvarna is the best bang for the buck here in the states.

Add to that a Gränsfors axe and you're ready for some Swedish mayhem! (You have to earn the horned helmet though.)

Yikes! Glad all are ok.

Well Orangeena, looks like you won't have to climb the tree to pick those apples anymore. :)
