Anyone try these? If so, could you comment on whether is actually is ebony? Quality?

Hey Phil,
 I accidentally filed the bone (plastic?) nut down too much on my Kala Acacia and couldn't find a pre-cut/drop-in replacement...
...so took a chance and got an Chinese ebony replacement.
It was a perfect fit for the slot and surprisingly HARD, and even found it more difficult to file-down the height than a Tusq saddle. After the replacement I found the uke actually projected a bit better too.

I just started buying the bone nut/saddle combos from china. They are quite well done. Hard and resilient. They sound great too. I plan to get some of the ebony and rose wood in to work with on some of the instruments I set up. My Kala Acacia Tenor originally came with the ebony and I discarded for Tusq at the time, lost track of where I put the original and was thinking of putting it back in. I recommend the seller I dealt with and will purchase again.
