Video recitals

I looked on youtube and here for instruction on how to make videos and I am a bit at a loss for how to improve videos after I have a raw capture. I have a windows laptop with built in camera and am going to buy a samson c01 microphone. I am on disability and need ideas that cost under a hundred dollars.

Anyone have some tips to share on how to make a video better than just hitting record and playing? Any software recommendations for video production? Am I missing any of the essentials needed?

Do you mean like editing after you're done recording? Your computer should have windows movie maker which is a pretty basic video editing software. You can look up tutorials on youtube of how to use it and before you know it you'll be a pro on it.
