This pretty rope-bound curly-ish koa soprano was in the shop via a customer of mine. Love it -- but it's definitely suited to ADF#B tuning. It sings when it's tuned up there.

Beautiful uke! Nice job with the bridge, Jake. I say keep the wood pegs...like it matters what I say.
 
Beautiful 'uke. Someone on this forum told me Kumalaes are "tourist ukes." Some of the cheaper ones were but it looks like you have a style 23. I bet it plays well. I picked up a 1925 Style 25 Kumalae with the banjo head earlier this year. Yours is in better shape than mine but has been repaired by a luthier and it's good for another 90 years.
