Just as the title states. We will be in California for the 2014 NAMM show and we figured we'd come and visit some uke clubs while we're in town. North or South, it doesn't matter.

So if you'd like to help us out please post your uke club (or one that you know of) on this thread along with a contact info on who to call in order for us to come down and check it out. We'd love to meet you folks!

For those who AREN'T from CA, we're just testing the waters there in CA and later on in the year, we'll come and visit other states as well. You guys game? WE ARE! So we're extremely excited for 2014 and all the jams that we'll all have together.

Stay classy my fellow four string story tellers!

Surely we could set something up at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. If you think you can make it down here I'm happy to talk to them. They move quite a few uke's, too.

Aldrine, as you know Shirley at Island Bazaar in Huntington Beach has groups every Tuesday and Thursday nights plus some on Friday and Saturday.

In Corona Del Mar to the south I know Oasis Uke group meets also. Not sure what day.

There are several in the LA area also.

By the way, you're doing this AND NAMM? Boy are you and Aaron going to be tired. Wow.

Would love to see you in San Jose! Maybe a workshop at Gryphon Strings in Palo Alto... they might even pay you...

Going to have to take some time off to do some Aaron and Aldrine stalking:)

I'll get you contact info for the Los Gatos Uke Club tomorrow. Don't have my glasses and the phone's starting to look fuzzy.

Do come to Santa Cruz! Get in touch with Sandor Nagyszalanczy or Peter Thomas re. UCSC, and if you're in town, come on by and visit the birthplace of Compass Rose Ukes, my shop. You can also visit two of the biggest uke collections in the US...Ukulele Dick, aka Rick McKee has about 250, and Sandor's latest count was 430. Yes, real numbers...

Whoa! So much love and responses! Okay, I'll take all of these into consideration and plan out an attack for January. Unfortunately, we can't hit up all of them due to time constraints (2 weeks max) but we'll see what we can do! Thank you guys SO much! :D

I'll be curious to see where this goes, if anywhere. The contact is Lincoln at mccabesconcerts@gmail.com for booking, if that helps... while they have great uke classes and it is a generally uke-friendly place, I can count the number of times I've seen any sort of uke performance there on one hand.

I hope you're planning on swinging by the Strum Shop in Roseville again. It was packed when Dominator played there just last month.

Aldrine! Come do a concert here at The Strum Shop... People keep asking when you are coming back!!!! We love you here at The Strum Shop. Give me a date so I can start letting people know when you are coming.

The week after NAMM is good for us, any night works, except Saturday night Feb 1, I've got Sarah M and Craig Chee coming in that night, but there is plenty of people to come to both shows...(The Strum Shop loves them too!)

Let me know your plans, we REALLY want to have you back again!!!!!!!!!!!! Stu (stu@thestrumshop.com) (916) 257-2800 (cell)

(Sorry for all the exclamation points, but we are excited to see you again!!!!)

Hi Aldrine,

It's Kelvin Hall. I attend 3 different 'ukulele clubs in San Francisco:

1. I attend my church's own ukulele group which meets up to 4 times a month, usually on a Wednesday and Friday evening at someones house. You can contact me directly or through Aaron for location.

2. Hawaiian Kanikapila: we meet the 3rd Sunday of every month from 1-4pm which will be January 19th. Location is Sacred Ground Cafe, 2095 Hayes
St., San Francisco, CA 94117, 415-387-3859 on the corner of Hayes and Cole.

3. San Francisco Ukulele Rebellion: they meet 2 Sundays a month from 1 - 4pm which will be January 5th and 19th of that month. Location is Oakside Cafe, 1195 Oak Street, San Francisco, CA 94117.

I attend my church's group the most. Hope we can meet up Aldrine!

Hi Aldrine,

Island Bazzar in Huntington Beach. Very close to Anaheim and they have a different ukulele club meeting almost everyday. Great ukulele shop, nice people. You can take a look at all the club meetings on their website, http://ukuleleparadise.com/

I hope to see you there,
