I've emailed Kamaka as well, but thought I'd ask here - I've had this old girl for years and never really thought about the unusual details (which is weird, being an instrument tech!).
It has a soprano scale length but the body is longer than my Gibson Model 2 (or any of my other sopranos) and it has a VERY fat waist (so do I as I get older :drool: ). The body size makes it a real cannon.
There are also split opinions as to the wood - half of those more familiar than I with tech specifics say it's monkeypod; and the other half koa. I'd love to get opinions from the forum.
