A friend asked me the following and I am coming to the FORUM for help:
I am looking for a book that shows all the scales, so I can learn all the notes for playing melodies, preferably w/ regular music, as well as tablature...a basic book that might have chords and scales? And maybe you know of a specific site that has pdfs of scales and chords?

Here is a link to a bunch of scales http://liveukulele.com/tabs/scales/. Reading the tabs and notation is a good way to get the basic feel for each scale and mode. To really learn and understand them though I recommend learning how each scale is derived and writing them out until they are memorized.

Thanks. Friend says that works.

Does anyone know if there is an analogous resource for baritone (DGBE) tuning? The tab notation below all the scales is very helpful.

There are numerous books (many quite good) available from publishers like Hal Leonard. But first: check online. As for tuning: that's just language translation.
