new_headstock.jpgbonnie_back.jpgfull_bonnie.jpgbonnie_from+top.jpgMade this one for a young lady who is into mermaids. I used copper wire hammered flat for the jellyfish tendrils on the fretboard. This was my first try burning with a wood burning pen. I used it for curlies in her sycamore hair. There is a lot you can do with a good wood burner.

Black Acacia Body
Red Western Cedar Top
Zebra Wood Radial Purfling
Peghead Tuners
Mammoth Ivory Mermaid Body.
Mother of Pearl Pearl
Red Abalone Rosette
Coffee Stained Nut and Saddle

Beautiful Michael!

Yes! The copper wire tentacles win this months prize for innovation ;)..will they turn green at a later date ?

I'm sure they will tarnish but can be easily brought back with steel wool. I've seen Larry Robinson use copper on finger boards so it should be ok.
