Still a little while to wait, but coming along, here is my Iriguchi Keystone tenor in the shop:

Can't wait! :cool:

Looking good Jim.

The polar back has really nice coloring in the stripes.
Redwood makes a great top IMHO. I like the asymmetric sound hole.

Do you have a target completion date for your new tenor?

I saw those on his Facebook. David builds some nice ukes :)

Is the sound hole supposed to be slanted or lying sideways?

Exciting! I really like the look of those Iriguchi ukuleles. Can't wait to hear what you think of it when you get it.

These are cool ukes and the wood looks beautiful!

Am I right to say it will be this design:
60854

But with this soundhole:

?

NICE! I've ordered the "Ideale" model and am waiting for them to send me the specs to finalize the deal.

@Doc_J:
Do you have a target completion date for your new tenor?

No. I think we're past the original target date but David has had carpal tunnel surgery so recovery from that is more important than my uke for sure. I'm in no rush really.

@fromthee2me:
Is the sound hole supposed to be slanted or lying sideways?

YES! David calls it his "wobbly" design. The side port is also wobbly.

@TJ Uke
this design..with this sound hole?

Yes, it is a keystone design with wobbly sound holes. This one is probably closest to my design:
http://iriguchiukuleles.com/portfolio-item/hashi-electric-keystone-tenor-in-redwood/

although mine has the more traditional bracing and mine has amber UPT tuners.

Me too! I've never seen one or heard one in person so this is a bit of a gamble. I made the selection based on the feature list I wanted and recommendations of some fellow UU'ers.

Getting closer! David posted this FB yesterday!

Solid afternoon in the workshop doing some sanding on ukuleles "Weeble" and "Emerald". Carpal tunnel feels pretty good today. Weeble and Emerald both have their fretboards now and we'll be doing the fretwork starting tomorrow. Then it's off to finishing!
