Hi Peeps, I've had my Uke for 3 weeks now and this is my first stab at a tune. I thought it sounded reasonable when sat playing it, but when I recorded it it sounds pretty plonky !!!
Can anyone offer advice on how to improve my playing ?
Thanks in advance.

For three weeks, you're kicking ass. The recordings often don't sound like what we hear in person, so don't take a laptop or vidphone audio track too seriously. Just keep at it!

Nice job. Transferring technique to the uke takes a little time. Sounds like you still have the factory installed Aquilas on it. You may need some mellower strings......Oasis, Living Waters, Fremont Blacks, Ko'olau Alohi's, etc. Takes an average beginner without guitar background quite a while to do that. Ease up...have fun.

Thanks Phil, your right on both counts - aquilas fitted ( you must have a good ear to be able to tell that ) and the fun aspect ! The reason I bought the uke in the first place was for the fun of it !! And here I am already caught up in the technicalities !!
I'm pleased to say though that after recording myself with Garage-Band, I'm a Lot happier with the result .
I'm gonna order some strings today, thanks.
