One of the strings on my ukulele broke months ago so I stopped playing, but I wanted to get back into it so I bought some strings but there is one problem, I cant tell the strings apart? How do I know which is G, C, E, and A? Basically, what order does the thickness go and how can I tell this apart? Two of them look very close in thickness. Thanks!

C will be the thickest, E the next thickest, with the G and A being pretty close. Sometimes they are a actually the same gauge but usually the A will be slightly thinner. Also the strings usually come in a separate envelope that says which string it is, or perhaps a piece of colored tape with a legend on the outer envelope.

Thanks a bunch! Exactly what I needed. I got really cheap strings that didn't come packaged very well. I just need something that will work as I'm a beginner.
