As somebody for whom a wheelbarrow is a complex and confusing machine, and who has the tool-using dexterity of a walrus, I really enjoy coming here and looking at the uke-in-progress pictures. And reading the descriptions of how this is all done.

From where I sit, it's like magic. Here is a pile of wood and presto! here is a beautiful musical instrument!

Boggles the mind. Just thought I'd say it: I appreciate those powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men ...

The magic for me is in the wood itself, how it acts, how it polishes, it's depth, feel, color.
