What are the frets on the new Gretsch Camp ukulele made of? The whole thing is painted so from the pictures I've seen I can't tell if they are metal or wooden frets.

so you know. the new gretch camp ukes are actually army ukes, not reproduction of their actual camp uke.
A real camp uke would be natural color, made of monkey pod and have a dish back (I know some had a flat back)
they are fun, just a bit of history.

I finally got to play one of these about a month ago. I thought it had a nice, balanced tone but seemed rather quiet. I liked it but am keeping my eyes open for a vintage Lyon & Healy Camp Uke instead.
