I have a recent Martin baritone acquisition and am loving it except for the tuners. tried taking them apart and cleaning. they just are not smooth. The plastic buttons are cracked and these are not the nice spring loaded ones, but are just tapered metal against wood.

My question is , " Are there any good replacement that will fit with no modification?"

I plan on keeping this but I've said that before and I know many would prefer it to be original so i don't want to hurt the resale value. I think I replaced some on a Gibson with some Ping I got off ebay. they worked nicely, but I don't remember if Gibson and Martin holes are the same size. I think on the Gibby I was able to leave the old bushings in too. that would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

I was at the Martin factory and asked about whether a Baritone could be ordered. Sadly, the answer was no. So they probably wouldn't be a source for replacement tuners.
