THIS UKULELE IS NOW SOLD
THANKS.....
GIBSON UB1 BANJO UKULELE
FOR SALE:$500.00
with case
shipping:$30.00
I am selling this to cover the cost of a vintage wood ukulele and because I realize I am happy with just playing wood ukes.
I believe this Banjo ukulele is from the late 1920s. It is in very good condition. It has a great lively Gibson banjo uke sound, and plays well.
The neck is straight, the fingerboard is clean and the 17 frets are smooth to the touch. The original tuning pegs operate well.
The back piece is not original. I was told by the person I acquired the instrument from that he had made it. It is a very good match and functions well. The rest of the ukulele seems original except for screw inside the body that hold one of the brackets.
ISSUES: There is a very slight crack on the surface of the body(pot). (Please see photo). There is no separation and it doesn't travel into the plywood. The body feels completely solid.
