For Sale: This Kanile’a K-1 T Premium tenor is used but in nearly new condition. It has limited playing timing on this uke. The curly koa is a premium upgrade and has some beautiful curl and chatoyancy. This has all the usual Kanile’a specs: koa body, rosewood fret board and bridge, paua abalone position dots, mahogany neck, rounded back, pin bridge, plus geared tuners, Aquila strings. Comes with a canvas covered hard-foam case. Build date is May 2012. MSRP on this model from Kanile’a is $1656.

While it has no scratches or dents this tenor has a couple minor surface flaws that are under the finish that really don’t stand out. See pics.

Sound quality can vary a bit on Kanile’a ukes (or any ukes), but this one is the best sounding Kanile’a ukes that I have played. I ought to keep this uke for that reason alone, but I must make room for a custom.

This tenor looks and sounds beautiful; my Kanile'a stable is full now, but this is a great deal for someone else!
