Hello all, So I bought a new fluke concert ukulele the other day. and I love the way it sounds, my only thing with it is I'm still not used to the friction peg tuners. I still have my heart set on a bushman ukulele lol. Does anyone know if bushman makes ukuleles without friction peg tuners?

Does anyone own a bushman jenny concert with gear tuners?
I don't think they exsist hahaha. But if they do, I'd love to have one!

Does anyone know where I can find/ buy this type of jenny concert? Besides the bushman website, their prices jumped way too high for me.
Julia Nunes has : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew3L-bPE3OE

If you own one:
I might be willing to trade my concert fluke with the gigbag for it!:D

Oh and thanks for all your help, I love this forum, ukulele players are the coolest nicest people around! :)

I have a Bushman Jenny Concert with sealed gear tuners, so I know they exist!

Bushman will change the tuners to geared tuners when you order, and they set up some of them with geared tuners to start with.

From the (I think) official site:

We'll ship your ukulele with traditional, Friction Peg tuners in a metal and button color of our choosing; however, if you want to select a particular set of Friction Peg tuners, or if you prefer the Sealed Gear tuners like we do, then order them when you order your Jenny.

I know you said you didn't like the official site, but thats your best bet.

If you like the way the Fluke sounds and your only problem with it is the tuners, why not just put some geared tuners on it? ;)

I wanted to do that, put gear tuners on it, but the guy at the store said it would cost like $400! :O

what store did you go to? :stop: go online and buy sum geared ukulele tuners and put them in yourself bro!

$400 is absolutely ridiculous. I know everything's more expensive in Manhattan, but either the guy at Manny's was joking or the place is desperately trying to cash in on their history in one more way.

Any reasonable place wouldn't charge you more than $20-50 for labor, and geared tuners are anywhere from $10-50 a set. They aren't particularly difficult to install. I'd check out these Grovers; they're a great value. They'd be pointing back, classical guitar style, but they'll look classy on the Fluke: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/..._Ukulele_Tuning_Machines/Details.html#details

As far as I know, Flukes come standard with Grover tuners that use the same diameter holes as these, so you likely wouldn't have to do much to the headstock besides drilling the tiny screws in. :D
