Beautiful Kumalae Soprano Koa uke, Style O
$600.00 obo
This is a very pretty, wonderfully bright sounding ukulele. It is in very good condition. It is very lightweight, easy and fun to play.
Inside it has a bit of the paper label that has the number 1719 which refers the street address of the factory which burned down in 1922 so I presume this uke dates 1922 or earlier.
It has one crack on the back repaired by Gryphon music in Palo Alto California. There is a small bit of gap between the neck and the body that I was told is just from shrinkage. This gap is not a complete separation, but just a little bit. I can send or post a photo later of it if someone would like to see. The neck is straight and solid feeling. It came with 3 broken down wooden pegs which were replaced by Gryphon with new friction pegs.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
