You are shopping already, right? I am, too. And a lot of it online. So here's my idea/challenge: While shopping, buy an inexpensive starter ukulele. I'm thinking of a Makala Dolphin - but pick your fave. But don't spend a lot.
NOW:
You have one year. Teach a friend to play. It doesn't take long to teach someone to play a song or two on it. And then - if they really are having a good time and loving it - then tell them "you can have it. Yours."
So we all buy an inexpensive ukulele as part of our holiday shopping, with the goal of finding someone to love it, and giving it to them, in the next year. It won't cost a lot, and we will make some people very happy!
Anyone else up for it? (Feel free to repost in other forums you like)
