I recently acquired what I believed to be a banjo ukulele from the 1920s or 30's. However I cannot find any identifying mark or logo to show who made it. The only brand names can be found on the bridge and tailpiece which are both original which say Grover. Any help is very much appreciated.

Have you removed the resonator from the back? Often a maker's mark was stamped or printed on the dowelstick (see example below, for example only and completely unrelated to this uke!):

Without a doubt a Supertone made by W.M. Lange. A really nice example. Could I get a better photo of the headstock front and back? Are you considering parting with this beauty?

Here are pictures of the headstock and what I believe to be it's original case.

The headstock is a bit different from the supertone models. It is definitely Lange made though. The Pot and resonator match mine to a T. The flange is identical. I am a bit perplexed about the headstock shape. It is similar to a weymann style but not quite (doesn't have the slanted edge). Definitely Lange though. Complete with mother of toilet seat overlay on the headplate. I would love to own it, but its nearly Christmas and money isn't as plentiful as I'd like it to be. Feel free to message me with your asking price. It's a beauty.
