Thanks for posting that! I think his use of tools was pretty amazing. All by rack of eye. Looks like it sits pretty nice.

Those compass planes show up on the local Craigslist every now and then, but I've managed to fight off the urge to buy one.

I don't know as I would be comfortable with the axe tossing.

That flexible plane is awesome. Never seen that before. And what an amazing hunk of cherry!

If you're going to buy a compass ("flexible") plane, the Stanley 20 (or Record equivalent) is a better design. Less tendency for the adjustment to shift. Don't need it often but it fits the bill well when I do. (cool video, thanks for posting)
