For Sale:

Martin Tenor with OHSC. My best guess is that this is an early 1950s, late 1940s Martin Tenor. Frets join the body at the 12th Fret. CF Martin and Co is engraved on the inside. Condition is excellent. No cracks. A few small dings and some finish checking, a bit of wear at the purling around the edges. Neck is straight; uke is completely playable. Case is in excellent condition, unusual for a case of its age. This tenor one is in better condition than most of the ones for sale online, and you will rarely ever find one with a case this good. $1200 shipped CONUS. Katy, out of curiosity, what is the width of the fingerboard at the nut?
thanks

I think the binding is fake tortoise shell - that's what Martin used in the 40s. It's very dark but it does have a few flecks of lighter color in it. It's hard to tell from the feel but I think it's tortoise shell.

A few more days then . . . Off to Ebay.
