Hi All, I was in my mom and pop music shop last night and they had this old Gibson soprano beauty. I didn't plan on keeping it but the price seemed low enough that I could sell it on UU and break even. I don't see many of these and thought/hope someone would like one.

The Good:
Nice setup. Good action. No buzzing. Good intonation.
Nice nut.
Tuners look original and work well.
Bridge looks good.
No visible repairs anywhere.
Looks all original.
Not sure how to date it.
Lightweight.
I think it sounds great…like a vintage mahogany soprano.
Clean top with no cracks

The Not-So Good:
There is one unrepaired crack on back, approx 3".
It looks pretty tight and clean. I wasn't concerned at all with it…but I'm not an expert in crack(s).
(A) string slot in saddle is getting a little wide. Just needs a big not in the string to stay in place.
The usual nicks and stuff on a 60+ year old instrument.
Some letters mixed in with the scratches on the back. Nothing deep.

No case. Looking for $290 shipped. Let me know what you think and if you've got any info to add.
