There is one of these on ebay and I was wondering what people think is a fair value: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Taylor-Guitars-Builders-Reserve-VII-Ukulele-All-Mahogany-/251412009410?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a8952d1c2

You can only buy one as part of the set with the matching guitar and MSRP is $7998. The seller claims he bought this particular one separately because it had orange peel in the finish. I played one for a few minutes at a dealer and they are rather nice.

I agree, the Taylor ukes are very nice. Wish they would put them into regular production. At a local Taylor event I asked Andy Powers if that may happen anytime soon. He just smiled. I think he loves building them but the numbers aren't there to justify it business wise.

Price is hard to establish since this is the first Taylor uke I have ever seen for sale as a single instrument, not a set.
Seems like it should be worth as much as a nice used Collings UT2SB.

Saw a thread related to this uke. http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?91292-Thinking-or-ordering-a-Kamaka-HF-3

Thanks Hodge, it appears the Taylor on ebay is the same as the one in the thread you referenced.
