This is the ghost of Christmas past. I got it last Christmas with the intention of learning how to play 5 string. As we all know, the road to Hell is paved with banjos.
Honestly, I tried a bit but kept going back to guitars and ukuleles. Deering has a list price of $1995 on this but new ones actually sell for about $1600-1700 with the hard case.
Originally purchased and setup in January 2013 at Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. The strap and the original hard shell case are included.
For more information on the "Boston" model, Google Deering Banjo. It is one loud banjo. (no pickup needed)
This instrument has about 12 hours of playing time. The banjo drum appears to have a light dirt smear just behind the strings. Since it has been cased for nearly a year I have no idea where the dirt came from.
I am willing to sell it for $1300 with free shipping to the lower 48 states. I am willing to trade for a similarly valued tenor or baritone ukulele.
