Good morning all. This is a favorite of mine and a tune we've done for years. So, I sat down last night and took a stab at recording it. "If I had you" is a standard, recorded by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, etc over the years, it seems there are a zillion songs with the same title so I didn't want folks to think they were going to hear a more modern song from Adam Lambert/Dire Straits/etc.

The melody is played on a Kanilea K1 Walnut Tenor in low G tuning, the rhythm is played on a Neil Gardiner Concert guitar (Engelmann Spruce/Cocobolo) and a Kanilea K3 Super Concert (koa) in re-entrant tuning. If you have them, headphones are better as the guitar part gets lost on computer speakers.

I hope you enjoy it.

I have been practicing this song for the past week.
Getting hung up on some of the chord transitions.
You make it sound so easy! Bravo!

Thanks. It is a great song, I hear you on some of the chord transitions, especially in the turnaround where it's one beat per chord.
